Crisis Teams - Who to contact if you need urgent support

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis you can contact your local NHS Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service.  If you are under the care of a mental health team and have a specific care plan that states who to contact when you need urgent care, you should follow this plan. 


The contact numbers for local NHS crisis teams are:


Tees, Esk and Wear Valley (TEWV) NHS Trust area:

0800 0516 171 (24hrs, 7 days a week)


Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust area:

Newcastle and Gateshead: 0800 652 2863

Sunderland or South Tyneside: 0800 652  2867

North Tyneside or Northumberland: 0800 652 2861
